The four most famous beaches of Goa – Baga, Arpora, Anjuna and Vagator attract tourists in hordes throughout the year. They are the hub of tourist activity inviting you to unwind in the sprawling acres of golden sands, the azure blue sea and lush palm groves. To make your stay memorable are the various hotels in Baga-Arpora Anjuna-Vagator region in Goa. Their ideal beachside location makes these hotels a widely preferred stay option.
Named after renowned ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali, this bird sanctuary is the abode of a myriad of bird species, both local and migratory. Encompassing an area of 1.8 sq. km, Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is the smallest among the wildlife sanctuaries in Goa. The small area notwithstanding, the sanctuary teems with the winged visitors who come here searching for the ideal habitat.
The island landscape abounds with thick mangrove vegetation found sporadically along the banks of River Mandovi. The mangrove ecosystem facilitates breeding grounds for several varieties of fish and insects that are natural preys for birds. A watch-tower inside the Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary serves the cause of enthusiastic bird-watchers.
DAY 4 – Colva
Relax on Beach : Depart for Colva Beach – check-in to hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing. Overnight stay at Colva.
According to Hindu mythology, Benaulim is the place where the arrow of Lord Parsurama landed when he created the state of Goa. Known in Sanskrit as Banali, it was changed to Benaulim by the Portuguese. The main attractions on this beach are the dolphin cruises. The beach gets fairly crowded in the evenings and on weekends with local visitors. Benaulim is about 2 km away from Colva and is more peaceful and serene than Colva. The best thing about Benaulim is that it is still rather undiscovered by domestic tourists even though it is a fishing beach.
DAY 5 – Panjim

The biggest of all the wildlife sanctuaries of Goa, Bhagwan Mahaveer sanctuary covers an area of around 240 square kilometers.
